How to Download Your Instagram Data

Follow these simple steps to get your Instagram data export

Step 1: Open Instagram

Open the Instagram app on your mobile device or go to instagram.com on your computer.

Step 2: Go to Your Profile

Tap on your profile picture in the bottom right corner to access your profile.

Step 3: Open Settings

Tap the three lines (menu) and select "Settings and privacy" from the menu.

Step 4: Find Privacy Section

In Settings, scroll down and tap on "Account Center" then "Your information and permissions".

Step 5: Download Your Information

Tap on "Download your information" to start the data export process.

Step 6: Select Data Types

Choose the data you want to download. Make sure "Followers and following" is selected.

Step 7: Choose JSON Format

Select "JSON" as the file format for better compatibility with our analytics tool.

Step 8: Submit Request

Review your selections and tap "Submit request" to begin processing your data.

Step 9: Select Download to Device

Choose "Download to device" to save the data to your device storage.

Step 10: Configure Export Settings

Set date range to "All time", format to "JSON" and then tap "Create files".

Step 11: Wait for Email

Instagram will email you when your data is ready (usually within 48 hours).

Step 12: Download & Upload

Download the ZIP file from the email and upload it here to get your analytics!
